Chile Verde

(Sharon like to call this recipe Braised Beef)

Ingredients


2 lbs.

¼ cup

1 large

1 large

1 cup

1

Some

1 large can

1-2 tsp

1 tsp (to taste)

½ tsp

1 tsp


Beef, chuck or sirloin, cubed

oil

Onion, diced

Tomatoes, chopped

Wine, red

Bell pepper, chopped

Parsley

Green chili, diced

Cumin powder

Salt

**cloves, ground

**sugar


Instructions

  1. In large pot, brown beef in oil.

  2. Add onions and stir around awhile.

  3. Add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil. Lower to simmer and let cook for at least 2-3 hours.

  4. Serve over rice with tortillas on the side.
